The flag of the Republic of Lithuania is raised next to the buildings of state and municipal institutions, next to companies’, organizations buildings, and private houses on these dates.

1. February 16 – Restoration of the State of Lithuania Day
2. March 11 – Restoration of Independence Day.
3. July 6 – State Day of Lithuania.

The flag of the state is raised next to, above or on the top of the buildings of state and municipal institutions, companies and organizations (no matter what is their form of ownership), it is raised 18 times a year, as well as during mourning days.

1. January 1 – Lithuanian Flag Day.
2. January 13 – Day of Defenders of Freedom.
3. February 16 – Restoration of the State of Lithuania Day
4. February 24 – Estonia’s Independence Day.
5. March 11 – Restoration of Independence Day.
6. March 29 – Lithuania’s Accession to NATO Day.
7. May 1 – Lithuania’s Accession to the European Union Day.
8. May 9 – Europe Day.
9. June 14 – Mourning and Hope Day (with a mourning sign).
10. June 15 – Day of Occupation and Genocide (with a mourning sign).
11. July 6 – State Day of Lithuania.
12. July 15 – Battle of Grunwald Day.
13. August 23 – Black ribbon day. (with a mourning sign).
14. August 31 – Freedom Day.
15. September 23 – Lithuanian Genocide Day (with a mourning sign).
16. October 25th – Constitution Day.
17. November 18 – Proclamation Day of the Republic of Latvia
18. November 23 – Armed Forces Day.

The state flag can be raised on other occasions as well, with one condition- it can’t be disgraced in any way.

The state flag is raised from 7 AM till 10 PM.

PENALTY for violation of the procedure for raising the flag of the Republic of Lithuania for the first time- from 2 to 17 euros, for repeat infringement – from 8 to 34 euros.
